This high-energy event is your chance to connect, have fun, and make Houston is Home come alive. Whether you’re a karaoke star, a pool pro, or just craving ice cream, this night is about building a tight-knit Cougar community that feels like home. Join us to sing, play, snack, and make lifelong friends. Let’s make the Student Center the heart of H-Town fun! 

Cougar Carnival | Friday, Aug. 22, 2025

Kick off the semester with a roar at the Cougar Carnival, hosted by Student Housing & Residence Life in partnership with BSM and UH Athletics at Lynn Eusan Park! This high-energy bash is packed with fun to make UH feel like Houston is Home. Get creative with spin art, license plate decorating, custom water bottles, caricatures, face painting, balloon art, and henna designs. Tackle epic inflatables and cool off with Kona Ice, indulge in funnel cakes, and connect with fellow Cougars to build lifelong friendships. Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of art, games, and treats that will spark your Cougar pride! Don’t forget to wear your RED for Cougar RED Friday!

Get ready to groove at the Silent Disco, a vibrant night that will light up your UH experience! Dance to your favorite tunes through wireless headphones, savor delicious Scoop Fusion Italian Ice, and strike a pose at the photo booth to capture epic moments with your Cougar crew. The first 150 students to arrive will snag an exclusive totes—perfect for showing off your UH pride! Join us to dance, connect, and make the Residence Halls feel like Houston is Home.
