Founded in 1974, Moores has grown into one of the most respected and forward-thinking music schools in the nation. Our mission is to make a positive impact through music while nurturing our values to learn and grow with the members of our community. We are committed to musical excellence in education, performance, and scholarship, supporting the success of every student and faculty member.
Since joining the Kathrine G. McGovern College of the Arts in 2016, Moores has expanded its reach and deepened its impact. As one of three schools within KGMCA, we thrive in an environment where the arts don’t just coexist, they collaborate. Musicians work alongside actors, dancers, designers, and visual artists, forming a vibrant interdisciplinary community that reflects the real world of today’s creative industries.
