Professional Studies Tracks
Everything has a history, and everyone has an historian inside them waiting to be
awakened. Whatever path you choose in life, history can provide meaningful context
and contribute to your success. It can make you a better scientist or doctor, environmentalist
or lawyer, curator or archivist. Tapping into your inner historian with a career focus
can be a fulfilling option for your future. Think about pursuing one of these Professional
Studies Tracks in our department:
Each Professional Studies Track consists of 9 hours of selected coursework that fit within the existing history major requirements; choosing to pursue a Professional Studies Track does not add additional hours to the major. The aim is to focus on the historical background and research methods specific to a particular field. Students interested in completing one of the Professional Studies Tracks should contact the department’s Undergraduate Advisor no later than the semester prior to graduation.
