The Common Ground Teachers Institute has inspired teachers in the Greater Houston metropolitan area since 1989 through collaborative summer seminars designed and facilitated by university professors. Gathering in the Honors College at the University of Houston, educators energize each other in spirited, thoughtful incisive discussions about literature, the classroom and the world.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to a server crash, we lost access to data of all those who registered before May 16, 2025. While most of the missing early birds have since reregistered, we are still missing a few. Alas, registrations via the website are now closed. However, all is not lost.
