The Department of Political Science was saddened by the loss of our colleague, Professor Robert Lineberry, who died in December 2012 after a short battled with cancer.  Professor Lineberry was a dedicated classroom teacher who loved working with students, inspiring them with his high standards and his passion for understanding the political world.  At the University of Houston and elsewhere he served on numerous doctoral and master’s committees, chairing many of them. 

In honor of Professor Robert Lineberry’s lifelong commitment to teaching, his former students, friends and colleagues have established the Robert L.
