Chiconia Anderson is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) specializing in trauma-informed care and is passionate about providing culturally responsive therapy to individuals navigating stress, anxiety, and interpersonal challenges. With expertise in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and narrative therapy, Chiconia helps clients to explore and heal from past experiences while fostering growth and resilience in the present.

Chiconia is committed to creating a safe and collaborative space where clients can share their experiences, build coping skills, and work toward emotional and psychological well-being. As an adjunct therapist at Pepperdine University and a licensed therapist in both Texas and California, Chiconia brings a depth of experience in both individual and group therapy, with a focus on empowering students to achieve their personal and academic goals.

With a deep understanding of multi-racial generational trauma, Chiconia values the importance of integrating cultural competence into therapeutic work. Chiconia is dedicated to supporting students at the University of Houston in their journey toward mental health and emotional wellness.
