Jocelyn Carman serves as the Recruiting Coordinator II for University Career Services. In her role, she supports a wide range of efforts, including managing event logistics, coordinating events, and contributing to employer outreach on the University of Houston campus and within the community. She also provides support for Cougar Pathway troubleshooting, helping ensure a smooth and engaging recruitment process for employers seeking to hire on-campus talent. 

Prior to joining University Career Services, Jocelyn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Communication from Utah Valley University. During her time at UVU, she worked at an on-campus marketing firm, where she gained firsthand experience in helping businesses understand the unique value that students and recent graduates bring to the workforce. This experience sparked her interest in bridging the gap between employers and emerging talent. 

With a strong background in marketing and communications, she brings a strategic and relationship-focused perspective to her work. Her work continues to focus on building meaningful and strong employer partnerships, ensuring students are empowered and career ready. 

Jocelyn continues to pursue professional development opportunities to expand her skills and knowledge across recruitment, communication, and program coordination, remaining committed to growth and excellence in her field.
